Phil's programming journey began in the garment industry, where he developed a FileMaker system to streamline business operations. This early success in creating efficiency laid the groundwork for his future career. 

While raising his family in Southern California, he spent a significant portion of his early career as Head of Operations for a prominent trailer house, refining his FileMaker system to meet the daily operational demands of the studio. Subsequently, Phil established his own consulting firm, specializing in custom database design, development, and client support.

Through positive referrals, his company has steadily expanded its client base across the country. Each client's specific requirements for their tailored system presented Phil with new challenges, which he consistently addressed. Over the years, Gershwin Consulting has evolved into a small yet effective team, with members contributing a wide range of skills from their diverse backgrounds, propelling the company into its next phase of growth.
